Setting up a specialist Recruitment consultancy in Catering and Hospitality Frank then sold the business and joined Focus Management Consultants adding quality and talent to kitchen Brigades or Development teams.  Looking after the Foodservice sector for Development Chefs and Executive Chef roles, Frank aims to ensure that briefs from clients are matched with exceptional skills from the best candidates to join their business success.

What is the earliest ambition you can remember?

To be an animator for Disney

State school

Who is your idol?

Out of respect and admiration, Sir Alex Ferguson

Who is your mentor?

Peter Draper (Boss) or Dale Carnegie (his books at least).

How physically fit are you?

Not bad-  2 young daughters double up as physical trainers.

Which leads to greater success, hard work or ability?

You need both…Ability is nothing without effort

What is your IQ?

Last time I was tested it was around 130. I think, cant actually remember.

Which famous person are you most like?

Looky-likey: wet bandit from home alone (when the curly fro is allowed to grow), but I’ve been told I’ve mannerisms like Dermot O’Leary.

If you could see any musician live – whether alive or dead – who would it be?

Michael Jackson

Do you consider your carbon footprint?

Yes. Good intentions need some work/discipline though.

What was the first car you owned?

Fiat Uno with 187,000 miles on the clock. 

What’s your biggest extravagance?

Eating out.

How politically committed are you?

I shout at the TV a lot, vote, and avoid the Daily Mail as much as possible.

Name one skill you don’t possess that you wish you did?

Piano playing.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?


What ambitions do you still have?

Travel South America and Asia.

You’re going to be stranded on a desert island and can take only three things with you – what would they be?

IPod and my two children…constant entertainment.

If you could own one thing that you don’t currently possess, what would it be?

A home by the sea.

L’Enclume, Cartmel.

What keeps you going every day?

Desires and wants, plus water, food and oxygen.

What is your greatest achievement to date?

Being a dad and husband (linked achievements I’m counting as one)

What has been your greatest disappointment?

Not sure… don’t dwell on coulda-woulda-shoulda’s

The guy who played the hairy Wet Bandit in Home Alone.
