Dominic Cooke, Consultant
Dominic joined Focus Management in 2009 following a personal relocation from Southampton. Educated as a Marine Biologist, career options were cut short when he realised that he actually suffered mildly from sea sickness!
Since then he has been working in the food recruitment industry recruiting for roles at the junior to middle management level across a wide range of core disciplines. I am currently part of an account management team for one of Focus' largest clients and really enjoy working closely with this group (an added bonus being they make great food and so enjoy the factory visits!) as well as heading up a graduate trainee recruitment program to get new talent into our business. In my previous job I focused on food industry recruitment at the largest recruitment centre in the UK, which housed 300 consultants under one roof.
An interview with Dominic...

Who is your idol?
How physically fit are you?
Reasonably fit until our fantastic new office renovation included an oven being put in resulting in outrageous pizza and pie consumption for lunches
Which leads to greater success, hard work or ability?
No shame in sitting on the fence for this one - both in equal measure

Tony Robinson (more Time Team, less Blackadder)
If you could see any musician live - whether alive or dead - who would it be?

Well in this job the ability to read people's minds would be pretty useful!

1. A Boat
2. An Oar

If you could own one thing that you don't currently possess, what would it be?
Bearing in mind my answer above, I had better put a boat!

Taking Plymouth Argyle to the Champions League Final in Championship Manager 97/98

A close call this - losing in the School Sports Day 100m Final to Ferai Musa when I was 17 or not getting the Sean Bean "Sharpe" Video Collection for Christmas when I was 14. I think I cried for both.

Bill Bryson - a Short History of Nearly Everything

Put it down to a bad day and get an early night.
If you had to rate your satisfaction with your life so far out of 10, what would your score be?
