NPD – Christmas Favourites 2023
I’ve scoured loads of articles, reviews, websites and those long-awaited for Christmas adverts. Here’s my totally subjective selection of the most exciting products that teams of NPD professionals will have been working on for while.
These are the products that I want to try this Christmas.
Reese’s Gravity Advent calendar – I love Reese’s and this has a built in wheel you spin each day to release your peanut butter cup down the slide. Want one 😊
M&S Jingle Brie-LT – Brioche stuffed with bacon, brie and a festive tomato and cranberry chutney. Great name and 5% is donated to Shelter too!
For my Veggie family members, this caught my eye for Christmas Day
Aldi Specially Selected Vegan Festive Wreath – A vegan nut roast packed with grains and pulses, it has a fruity cranberry compote and bitter orange glaze. Great reviews in Good Housekeeping and is only £5.
I love the Waitrose Christmas TV ad this year (fun, upbeat, great tune, all about the food and Graham Norton!)
Really looking forward to their party food range coming out. How good do these sound?
Feta Popcorn with Hot Honey – crunchy, bitesize balls of feta blended with soft cheese and goat’s curd. Serve with the hot honey dip and pair with fresh figs.
Also want to eat this
Christmas Smoked Salmon Eclairs
Sticking with party food (as it’s my favourite thing about Christmas) there’s two delicious-sounding options at Sainsburys.
Taste the Difference Mini Fish Pie Puffs &
Taste the Difference Cheddar & Truffle Ciabatta Crostini – Both score highly in the Good Housekeeping taste tests this year.
For the non-Christmas pudding eaters, I reckon I’ll be buying this new M&S product –
Trifle Caked Alaska – tastes like a Trifle, eats like a Baked Alaska and looks like a Cake. Sounds great and M&S always come up with a new twist.
Big appreciation to all the amazing NPD / Product Developers and Chefs who have created these – such hard work goes into these launches.
