This Technical Manager role is a strategic technical leadership role with a prestigious branded food business, supplier-facing, based central London with hybrid working.

Essentially, this is a supplier-facing role, where you’ll provide technical expertise to deliver the food technology requirements of NPD launches and projects, also supporting Procurement in continuously improving the supply chain.

As well as the day-to-day, we’re looking for your ability to see the bigger picture, to expand the technical strategy, horizon scanning across the supply chain and to keep abreast of emerging legislation.

You’ll come with a good understanding of factory processes, as this role will including auditing suppliers, in the UK, Europe, and the Far East. You can expect to be travelling two to three times a month in the EU and UK and once a year to the Far East. It’s an office-based, hybrid role with travel to suppliers expected.

At this level, you’ll be educated to degree level or above, in food science/technology or similar subject, supported by at least 5 years’ industry knowledge, including food safety, TACCP, and VACCP.
