Be part of an innovation led food business in a customer-facing, hands-on Senior Development Technologist role.

Here you’ll be developing innovative new product applications for an impressive range of retail, foodservice, and B2B customers.  You’ll be involved in high profile product launches for leading food brands across several different product categories.

Using your creativity, knowledge of ingredients and trends, you’ll formulate innovative and commercially viable new concepts.  This will involve managing key customers relationships, understanding their requirements and capabilities. You’ll be hands-on developing recipes and reformulating existing products to drive Continuous Improvements.  You’ll then take new concepts through development kitchen and pilot plant trials.

You will be involved in customer presentations and supporting trials at customers’ sites.  This will include trouble shooting any issues in production and developing solutions that meet the customers needs and capabilities.

Joining a well-established and highly regarded food business, you’ll be based at the R&D centre that has recently had huge investment.  It’s a company driven by innovation with product development at its heart.  They have a talented and supportive team who work collaboratively to share ideas whilst giving the team autonomy to lead their projects.

The role would suit someone with a keen interest in ingredients and food trends with a solid understanding of the full concept to launch process.  Someone who enjoys being hands-on from formulating recipes through to factory trials. You’ll be leading customer relationships so need to be a great communicator, able to enthuse others when presenting your ideas.

It’s a predominantly site-based position with some travel to customers so you would require a driving licence.
