If you’re an experienced strategic sourcing procurement professional with strong experience spanning indirect spend within a multi site environment spend then this is a great opportunity.
My client is a leading food manufacturing business supplying delicious, flavoursome products to customer across the UK. They have multiple sites and work with the leading retailers.
They currently require an experienced Indirect Services Buyer to join their talented central procurement function. You will have strong indirect services purchasing experience within a fmcg environment and therefore you’ll be used to the pace and challenges associated with this.
Working as part of a small indirect procurement team you’ll be responsible for setting the Category Strategy based on you getting a full understanding of individual site needs whilst acting as a collaborative partner to senior stakeholders to respond to and resolve escalations.
As a skilled negotiator, you’ll have proven skills in supplier development, negotiating contracts and it’s important you can lead and communicate effectively to ensure internal stakeholders are influenced positively.
Candidates will need to be bright, articulate with ideally two years’ experience in buying indirect services in a fast moving environment. You’ll have strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify and drive through new areas for improvement. IT literate you’ll have strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate and interpret large volumes of data. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
