This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, strategic Senior Buyer to join a thriving, growing food manufacturing business.

My client is a leading food manufacturing business with a strong heritage and a solid track record of growth. I’m looking for an ambitious Procurement Manager with progressive experience within a food manufacturing environment and a strong background in strategic sourcing, planning, NPD procurement, stakeholder management, and supplier development. You will need a category management approach to sourcing and have real hands-on experience with very strong supplier development and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be responsible for improving costs, service, quality and delivering innovation. The role with encompass sourcing and negotiating a varied range of ingredients, packaging and indirect services ensuring innovation and cost value to all areas of procurement.

You’ll work very closely with Technical, Commercial, Product Development and Supply Chain teams. It’s a fast-paced environment and you’ll need to have outstanding negotiations skills and excellent communication skills. Strong commercial acumen is essential and we’re looking for someone who is a real self-starter with strong project management skills.

Flexible working is available for this role, however it is envisaged you would need to be on site at least three days a week.

This role offers you the ability to shape and deliver your Procurement strategy and to really inform and influence the business plan moving forward.
