This is a long-term contract opportunity for a Senior NPD Technologist or NPD Manager who is looking for variety and autonomy in their next role.

Here you’ll be managing a small team, working on NPD projects with a focus on health and nutrition. You’ll be responsible for the existing product portfolio, redeveloping the current range and creating new innovative concepts inspired by the latest trends. You’ll also be a key stakeholder in the development of a new range. This will expand the business’s current capabilities to enable them to reach new markets.

You’ll be joining a successful food business that supplies into a diverse customer base. Therefore, you’ll be developing products with a wide range of requirements in terms of nutritional content, consumer appeal and price-point.

You’ll need to have solid experience in an NPD role, managing projects from concept to launch in a multi-component chilled or frozen category. Passionate about food, you’ll be abreast of the latest trends and enjoy being hands on developing products. In addition, you’ll need an interest in and good knowledge of nutrition. The role has responsibility for all product nutrition, costing and specification documentation.

As it’s a hands-on role the position is mainly site-based but there is flexibility for some homeworking around project requirements. There will be some travel involved too so a car/driving licence is required.
