But the flip side of this and the bit that will give you variety is you will lead two different lives. Some of the work you will do will be a HRBP for one of the largest UK food factories of its kind, producing products you will love eating at home (at a big discount too). Other times you will be the HR lead as part of the SLT of a smaller manufacturing unit.

This is broadly a generalist HR role, but I’ve not heard too many HR professionals sorry to lose recruitment out of their remit and if that is you, good news they have a dedicated recruitment function that will lead this area.

The commercial performance of the business is solid (they are in a category that will always be popular) so you don’t have to worry about that. The many hours trying to sort recruitment will be covered by a sister department so all good on that front. All this means a lot of distractions you may have encountered previously will be removed, allowing you to concentrate on delivering what you are good at, a really solid people / HR plan.
