This is an exciting blank slate opportunity to put some of your great environmental ideas into practice as the Environmental Manager.

A lot of food manufacturers combine Environment with H&S. In fact this one did too. But they have taken the decision to make it a dedicated role such is the anticipated impact they believe it can have on the business. So, if you are a H&SE / SHE Advisor or Officer looking to specifically focus on the environmental side, this is a great opportunity for you.

If you will forgive a football analogy, they are currently in the conference but with lofty ambitions and so hope they can be a Wrexham (unfortunately Ryan Reynolds is not involved).

They do have some basics in place with zero land fill and waste contracts in place as well as completed the ESOS phase 3. But they have no real environmental management systems and little in the way of advanced energy / waste projects.

You will therefore be given free reign to analyse and create the entire EMS with a complex business that has a product range and customer base that is doing well – great foundations for you to build something on.

If you have worked in a dedicated environment role or a H&S role that also combined environment within the manufacturing / FMCG sector this will be a good one for you. An environmental qualification for this one will be preferred.
