Are you a Technical Manager with a particular specialism in the red meat sector? If so, this is the role for you.

Supplying to major retailers and food manufacturers this food processing company is looking to add an expert in red meat to its team as a Technical Manager. The role requires someone with experience in supplying to the major UK retailers with a good understanding of their codes of practice who can become a technical partner and keep the company up to date with market developments. As an expert in the protein category you will be seen as an authority on food supply chain issues, quickly able to supply accurate and relevant information to customers and able to manage any product quality issues from a root cause perspective.

You will take the lead on customer visits which could also include international travel to manufacturing sites.

Key areas to manage:

  • Technical strategy
  • Customer relationship management
  • Product quality

For this role we are looking for someone with Technical experience in a fast-paced food business. Ideally with red meat experience however, the wider protein category will be considered. Experience of audit processes and ability to build strong customer relationships is a must.
