This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Specifications Technologist who is accustomed to using retailer web based systems to join a successful expanding food manufacturing group producing tasty products for the major retailers.
You will be a process led individual with strong attention to detail.
Hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm
This role will report into the site Technical Manager and will involve communicating and providing Technical support to various internal functions within the business including Process, Quality and NPD.
Your role will be to develop, approve and maintain product specifications for the site ensuring the information is consistent with raw material, factory recipes and specification data. Ensuring the specifications are compliant with customer requirements, relevant legislation and Group policy will be of up most importance to you.
Key Accountabilities will include;
- Specification development and approval
- Generating legal pack copy
- Artwork approval (including primary and secondary packaging)
- Raw material specifications
- Continuous Improvement
- Communication and knowledge sharing
My client is looking for an individual who has experience of undertaking a Specifications Technologist role within a fast-paced food manufacturing business. Flexibility and adaptability is important, as well as the ability to communicate to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure you receive the correct information to complete your tasks and ensure the documents are compliant to all relevant customer and legal legislation.
You must have pace and the ability to meet deadlines, as this site is producing short shelf life products.

To apply you must be proficient in the use of MS office tools, written, numerical and verbal skills and fluency of English language. Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data. Understand Food Labelling Legislation, Food Safety and Quality Management Systems and key elements of the product launch process.
