Sensory Manager required for an instantly recognisable branded food company.
Based at the company Head Office in Northamptonshire you will be responsible for delivering sensory advice to the NPD, Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality teams. As an expert in the area of sensory and consumer science your management of sensory panels will help the business to create the best version of their new products. In addition to sensory testing you will take responsibility for risk assessments on new test methods to ensure methods comply with accreditation requirements.
- Developing sensory testing programs such as sensory panels
- Management of scientific and technical documents
- Ensuring sensory methods are in line with the latest development in the sector
- Managing internal audits and international registration requests
- Managing a small team of Sensory Technicians
For this role we are looking for a graduate level professional in a food science related discipline. You will have an in-depth understanding of sensory and consumer testing with experience in multiple different methods and a solid understanding of population statistics.
This role is responsible for supervising, managing the workload and appraisals of two team members, deputising for the Scientific Services Manager from time to time so previous people management skills are needed.
This role is based on a Monday to Friday contract of 35 hours with occasional travel required. Alongside the base salary the company provides an extensive benefits package including 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, bonus, excellent pension and additional flexible benefits.
