Job Description

Our client is classed as one of the key flagship businesses in its category. Supplying to all the major retailers with an outstanding class of product, anyone who works for this business can do so with pride that they are part of something very special.

We have been asked to find an experienced Senior Section Manager who has an interest in Continuous Improvement and is ready to drive projects and activities across the site, as well as keeping their hand in with manufacturing management.

Don't worry, we are not asking you to become desk bound; this role is very much making the most of your operational experience while taking on specific projects that can be worked on across the business.

As long as you have the drive to learn new skills and accomplishments, our client would be happy to provide training in Continuous Improvement so that you can add a new string to your bow.

The main advantage of this role - should you choose to take it - is that this could be essentially a Monday to Friday role, working office hours. If working no more shifts is something that appeals to you then this may be your perfect next step. (Of course, if you enjoy shifts then a 4 on 4 off structure could also be discussed)

Key to this role is that you do not lose touch with the Operational side of things. You will lead by example and encourage cross-functional teams to work together towards a common goal. It is essential that this person has an inclusive, social personality in order to prevent walls being built up between CI and Operations. Nobody likes change, but you will have that ability to speak the right language to every department and create a cohesive environment.

The ideal person will have worked in chilled food in a manufacturing management capacity and will have experienced change management in the past.
