Senior Development Technologist, Scotland
County / State: Scotland - Central Belt
Consultant: Lucy Mckinna-Whitby
Start date: Asap
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
The opportunity to take the first step in your management career and direct some junior NPD personnel...
You have spent a couple of years now in a development role. You have learned the ropes, know all about the Gate Processes, have seen how the relationships between supplier and customer work and now you are ready to take on a mini- management role to help mentor junior people in the team.
You are a natural leader, and have learned from your mentors in your career so far. You love working in development and want to keep your hands in with the every day development processes, but you are ready to take on more responsibilities.
This role will see you spending more time with the customer. Getting the briefs first hand from the customer and liaising with them on a more day to day basis as you will have more autonomy within your product category.
Working to a mad pace sometimes, you are not afraid of hard work. You thrive on the demands of your job. You love the fact that you can visit a restaurant - all for research. At home you watch all the foodie shows, have food magazines and menus for bedtime reading and you love cooking in your spare time.
Travelling to the customer and going on safaris will also be a part of your role - possibly not as often as you would like, but there is no being chained to the desk in this role!
All we ask is that you have a positive work ethic and you have an in-depth knowledge of food trends, food technology (gained from higher education in a food related subject) and a creative ability to think outside of the box.
If this sounds like the sort of job that you would be interested in, then apply today - we look forward to finding out more about you!
