They are driving in-house brands within the plant-based category. Already offering a leading meat alternative product, this manufacturer is not one to rest on its laurels. In fact, it’s one of the best in the food retail market, as well as one of the fastest growing UK plant-based brands, over the past 12 months.

With serious capital investment not only to R&D but the infrastructure needed to provide it, there is a manufacturing space for new technology being launched this year too.

This is an established company that makes serious commitments to innovation and development. It will only benefit your career, joining their plant-based revolution. There is a road-map to invest and grow, increase technology while also creating wider development partnerships with third-party manufacturers.

You’re predominantly based out of the UK site, but you will also work with the wider group where the global business supplies some of the biggest names in the plant-based space.

No question, this is one of the most intriguing and adventurous Development Chef roles we have had within the innovation space for some time.

This is a business that has seen food trends shift dramatically during the last 12 months, with the obvious impact on convenience, quality and health being a key influence. As such they want someone in this role who is not just joining a bandwagon, but has real aspirations to drive growth, affect change and influence. A track record of working cross-category, as well as having had commercial success within plant-based food innovation is crucial here.

They are looking for a Development Chef who is truly involved and engrossed in the plant-based, meat alternative movement that is engulfing the UK, US and Europe. Effective and efficient communication skills are a necessity and should be demonstrable throughout your career to date. We would ask for at least 2-5 years’ experience in innovative product development with a focus on this category before you consider applying.

You’ll need it, as you play a key role in the conceptualisation, prototyping and exploratory development of innovative culinary concepts. This position of Research and Development, Applications Chef, supports the wider RD&A community and so we would insist you have a high level of culinary expertise, and can demonstrate an ability to join the dots between insight, food-craft, science & technology as you create best in class products.
