There’s plenty to get your teeth into here. You’ll get to shape a brand new role, using your Food Science expertise to unlock new product opportunities.
You will be involved in new product formulations, utilising new ingredients, and innovative processing techniques to develop a healthy innovation pipeline. You’ll also get involved in reformulating existing recipes, improving manufacturing processes, and solving quality issues.
The role involves working on new concepts from ideation stage through to product launch, working closely with the NPD and Process teams. You’ll be horizon scanning to identify new ingredients, techniques, and processes that will provide a competitive edge. This will include working with suppliers and research partners and translating scientific findings into commercially successful new concepts.

We are looking for experience in an R&D role within Food Manufacturing and a Food Science degree. You’ll need experience in hands-on recipe formulation and in taking products through trials to launch. In addition to new concept development, you’ll have worked on process improvement projects. Specific category experience isn’t essential, ideally you’ll have a breadth of knowledge and interest in different food areas. Being a great influencer, able to pull-together cross-functional teams will help you succeed here.
The role offers hybrid working with some travel to suppliers and research partners.
