County / State: Cambridgeshire
Job type: Permanent
Consultant: Zoe Gmaj
Start date: Asap
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Passionate about Quality Systems and improving systems and processes? This is the role for you, hands-on factory based, growing business...
One of the cleanest, modern and most friendly sites I have had the pleasure of visiting. From meeting helpful reception staff, to engaging senior managers, and workers on the shop floor, the message was the same - a great team to work with! The units - shiny, large, new, comprising three factories, impressive facilities and housing World Class Manufacturing. This business has seen continuous financial investment over the past three years and is growing year on year. Having visited on a number of occasions I can say first-hand the facilities are impressive, a nice place to work and the teams are buzzing! I can tell you everyone I have met has been friendly and passionate with quality and H&S at the heart of everything they do. The Quality culture is on a really positive upward curve but there is still room for improvement and what an opportunity for you to be part of!
As a dedicated supplier with long standing customer relationships you can expect recognition for your work and be able to clearly see the results. The shop floor team are engaged and quality was on top last year, but there are still clear areas for improvement, and the business is always evolving so lots to get your teeth into.
This isn't your average hum-drum Auditor role, this is a real specialist within the factory. You will report to the Quality Systems Manager and will have full responsibility for internal auditing. This will include systems, processes and facilities, so great variety for you! It is hands-on so you will get to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, allowing you to influence, challenge and change cultures, bringing continual improvements. You can expect to be spending around 70% of your time on the shop floor, so you will not be cramped behind a desk unable to get into the factory. This role is essential for championing quality on site, and will give you real recognition within the senior management team.
You can expect to schedule audits, review and trend results to identify areas for improvement and ensure safety and legality are met at all times. Identifying non-conformances, complete corrective actions, close out and report - this will be your daily bread and butter but you will also champion the quality culture and look at various initiatives and projects on site. You will be pro-active and influential and ensure you are continually challenging the team to think and act to prevent quality issues.
If you hold an internal auditing qualification or preferably lead auditor trained we would love to hear from you...
This role is available for interview immediately.
