Opportunity to get your foot in the door on a 12-month fixed term contract for a truly innovative food business.
With an eye for detail, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products that arrive into the warehouse are to specification and the agreed quality specified by the business.
Monitoring quality, legality, temperature and product safety will be part of your daily check list and you won't get much better products to be checking than this.
Analytically minded this role will involve you collating your findings and reporting it back to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customer receives the best quality product when shopping in store. The ability to make good sound decisions based around analysis of data is essential in this role, as well as a good level of English, reading, writing and oral skills.
If a product does not meet the desired specification you will know to reject before reaching the store and the customer.
The role will be based at the depot in North London, and will involve extensive travel across the supply chain, stores and supply base as required, therefore a driving licence and a car is a prerequisite for this role.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will be working on the Protein category, so must feel comfortable working with Meat, Fish, Poultry, Dairy and Deli products.
This is a 12-month fixed term role, 40 hour working week, it will require early starts with some weekend working – ability to be flexible is preferred.
Experience within a Technical / Quality role within a food manufacturer is a must for this role.
Ideally, we would like somebody who also has:
- HACCP training
- Auditing training
- Allergen awareness
- Microbiology knowledge
- Able to work at pace and follow procedures, within timescales allowed
