A true leader in the foodservice sector, my client are a global branded business with an excellent reputation for Innovation and Quality. They have a strong procurement function managing all of the food and drink categories. Critical to the business success is all of the non food items that are used behind the scenes.
They are looking for a Non- Food Procurement Manager to manage the £10m spend of goods not for resale. Categories include packaging, uniforms, chemicals, utilities to name but a few and your role will be to implement these category plans. Reporting into a Senior Procurement Manager you’ll support with data on insight to support timely and cost competitive procurement of materials in line with designated specifications and organisation priorities.
This role will support the Supply Chain Director in ensuring European alignment and the necessary procurement processes, discipline and governance on regional/local spend items are adhered to so to achieve significant savings.
Candidates will have a degree level qualification ideally in Business Management or a Technical area. You will need to have previous experience as a Non-Food Buyer / Procurement Manager, ideally having experience of day to day managing suppliers of equipment and services in a large, multi site environment. The ability to understand technical issues associated within Purchasing and Supply of non-food items is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with other departments, suppliers and franchisees is key as is the ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets.
