If you're looking to step up into a bigger, more complex buying role with the backing of a global leader, this is role you've been looking for. This company has multiple manufacturing sites producing both branded and own label products into all sectors of the food supply chain. The pace of this business is incredibly fast so they need an experienced Buyer from a manufacturing environment who can handle working with ever changing priorities.
Influencing and relationship skills are a key part of this role. Working within the indirect services area of the business will give you the opportunities to really own this area and make lots of quick wins. Indirect services is a relatively new area within procurement here, you will really need the communication and influencing skills to get key areas of spend under management.
You'll currently be an ambitious Buyer with great generalist or raw materials experience within a fmcg manufacturing environment (ideally food) looking for the opportunity to really manage and set the strategy for your own category.
It’s an exciting time to join the procurement function as they have recently moved away from a transactional function into a strategic function, that really gives the business what it needs from its supply chain. You'll use your relationship skills to manage internal stakeholders and form long term partnerships with key external suppliers.
It’s a busy environment in a multi-site branded food business so you'll be comfortable operating at pace and will have the flexibility, drive and ambition to really get stuck into the role. The business is growing rapidly and are part of a bigger global business, so you'll get great knowledge of working as part of a wider International business.
