Production Manager, Lincolnshire
County / State: Lincolnshire
Consultant: Dominic Cooke
Start date: Asap
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
Sometimes making the obvious move is the best move. No hidden catches, this is one of the best Production Manager roles currently available.
This is a popular and sought after business. After having business difficulties a decade ago, significant change was made and since then they have grown year on year (both in turnover and staff numbers) to be the largest manufacturing facility of their category in the country.
They have achieved this by recruiting and building excellent teams (of course it helps they have an excellent innovation team so customers want to buy their products). This means the teamwork of the site is strong and to quote a Production Manager we previously placed "there is not a single bad egg here".
What does this mean for you? Hopefully a positive work environment you can enjoy going to each morning. You will be able to concentrate on doing what you are good at, which is getting product out of the door in the most efficient manner rather than worrying about commercial matters or things outside of your control.
The company also likes to look after its own (internal promotion rate of over 50%) which means usually the only way to get into the business is on an unattractive shift pattern. However, on this occasion they are able to offer a 4 on 4 off days (5am - 5pm). Once in, you should be aiming to get to Operations Manager as your next step, if that is what you desire.
They would like you to have some sort of food manufacturing/FMCG production management experience and know how to manage positively through utilising KPI data.
