An opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business that supplies specialist products to major retailers and the foodservice sector.

The role will be reporting into the Operations Director to play a pivotal role within the senior management team across both short-term operational planning and forward forecasting. The role and business offer a great amount of autonomy for someone.

You will be leading a team of Planners and Logistics Operatives to develop planning capabilities by coaching and developing the team and enhancing planning systems.

You must have previous Supply Chain and Planning experience within an FMCG environment, have an analytical mind-set along with excellent leadership capabilities. You will bring your proven management experience to this role in order to develop and mentor the employees to make sure they achieve their full potential.

A strong understanding of all aspects of Production Planning, MRP, Forecasting, Capacity Planning, and a strong understanding of Excel and Sage or similar software will all be key to being successful in the position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining Master data and ensuring the accuracy of data
  • Planning and budget responsibility with Operations Managers for labour to minimise costs to the business unit
  • Monitoring OTIF for all customers
  • Ensuring all plans meet KPIs and are communicated to Production Managers
  • Being the point of contact for customer escalations
  • Supporting and mentoring the Planners across all categories
  • Presenting at the monthly S&OP meetings to review forecasts and ensure capacity requirements are met
  • Managing raw materials and finished goods
  • Daily updates to the business on supply performance
  • Management of warehousing, both on and off site across all categories
  • Management of incoming and outgoing logistics and their respective teams
