Interim Project Engineer, Food Manuf. 6months, Outside IR35

My client is one of the UK’s leading providers in their category. The business produces a range of products for major UK supermarkets and foodservice customers. They employ around 350 people in the Southwest of the UK.

The manufacturing process is a combination of old traditional methods and modern manufacturing standards. They urgently require an experienced Interim Project Engineer to manage a project to enable growth with one of their retail clients.

This will be an initial 6-month contract to start – they need someone at the latest by the end of June 2022 but ideally earlier. You will work closely with the Site Manager and Engineering Manager on this project.

To apply you will need knowledge of food processing equipment and experience of managing food production projects up to circa £1m.

Medium level AutoCAD skills with the ability to manipulate drawings and make amendments to factory layouts is a MUST, as well as experience of managing contractors to high health and safety standards.

As this role is autonomous you must have good communication skills and be used to working with minimal supervision.

Desirable
Experience of installing large refrigeration equipment for chilled food production.
