My Client is a reputable international food group who is looking to enter the UK & European markets. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Head of Business Development to develop the Commercial Business Strategy. This is a hands-on role – strategy through to delivery.
This is a critical position and the recruit will play a pivotal role to open new channels within Retail and Foodservice customer base across UK & Europe.
This broad role will be part of a Small Management Team, working closely with the Innovation Team.
The successful candidate will come with strong food commercial and business acumen and a track record of working at a senior level within a food/drink manufacturing environment, ideally chilled, frozen or ambient.
We are looking for a heavyweight Retail and/or Foodservice Sales Leader who has established relationships with complex customers and their internal politics between regional and local buying. This role requires the willingness to roll up sleeves and get stuck into the detail of how to get products into UK & European potential customers. There is a requirement for this individual to “deliver and scale” new sales from a small base.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with gravitas and a successful track record for delivery and maximising growth opportunities, with an entrepreneurial flair. They will have the intellect and capacity to work within a complex multiple product and customer environment and manage all the conflicting demands that entails.
