This job will give you a better work-life balance.
You probably didn't think about lecturing when first starting scrolling through new vacancies and why would you have done, surely you need a teaching qualification for that? Well, not so, this role is looking for individuals that have real knowledge and experience of the subject matter exudes in a way that helps to motivate and engage bright young minds. This isn’t all about teaching however, this establishment is opening a brand new facility and starting courses they have never taught before. So, it really is an open book, a chance for you to put your stamp on things and teach what you believe will have a real effect of these students employability. After all, you’ve been there and done it yourself.
Work-life balance has always been around but up until recently it has become much more of a focus for some people. Sometimes there are external factors that mean regardless of how much you enjoy being at work you equally need that time away from it. With the Food industry and I'm sure most of the FMCG sector, you have 12 hour shifts, 4-on-4-off, weekend working, sites that are open 24 hours and unfortunately we aren't quite at the stage where they can run themselves. We often accept this because of our passion for the industry but with this you can take that passion and have a great work-life balance.
So what do you need to be right for this role? Well, Food Manufacturing experience is ideal doesn’t matter too much on the classification or product category. But if you don’t have this experience you can also come from academia, you may be educated to a high level or have worked in food science research this would still be applicable. What is important with this is that personality piece, you will have to teach and have targets based on their success. But these aren’t children, these are young adults making that final transition from education to the real world and wouldn’t it feel great to help just one person reach their dream?
If this sounds like an interesting opportunity or just want to hear a little bit more. Apply now.
