Growing FMCG business, pro-active, energetic, ideas focused, seeks Data Analyst with SQL experience...
If you are an individual who likes to challenge, likes to think outside the box and can work with data in lots of different ways to gain insight, recommendations and ultimately drive performance you are what we are looking for! As a Data Analyst here you will not just be running repetitive reports (these are all automated!) you will be interrogating data and systems to design your own reports, model data, make improvements and will work closely with Analytics and Trading teams. This company are very far ahead in technology for its sector with a bright workforce who are proactive and fun!
As the company has expanded hugely over the past 18 months they now looking for a dedicated specialist to manage data forecasting based from the manufacturing site in south Lincolnshire. You will be part of an Analytics team of three and will work closely with marketing operations and digital teams. You will attend trading and acquisition meetings and look at the impact on forecasting in the factory. The current forecasting model is an in-house, bespoke system written in Python and has a high level of automation giving script outputs on volumes etc. You will look at customer behaviour and ensure all algorithms are aligned and change script where required. All analysis is done using SQL so it is essential you are fluent in this area.
Although based in Lincolnshire you will be expected to spend one day a week in London with the wider team, and all training will take place here. There is a fantastic in depth training plan for the successful candidate.
The key to this role is reviewing KPI data, short-term and long-term forecasting to ensure the best model is in place, to keep volumes high, minimise waste and ensure stock availability for example. Although there are processes in place we don't just want someone who will follow, we need someone who will continuously challenge the process and think of new ideas; you will be able to really mine the data and dig deep into the performance to feedback to wider teams.
It is likely you will come from a Maths, Engineering or Physics background and will have demonstrable SQL expertise.
Do not miss out apply today!
