This is an opportunity to utilise your experience in a new working environment, a chance to work for a prestigious retail business based out of its Head Offices in Hertfordshire. You will be Head Office based but you will work within the larger Food Technology team, who work very closely together and support each other regularly. Although predominantly Head Office based you could be travelling to other sites across the UK, to cover work, support or work on collaborative projects. In this role the day to day will see you having significant impact on this companies performance and reputation in the market place.

As Customer Compliance Manager you will draw upon your understanding of Food Safety, Legality and Compliance and using it to escalate and investigate important customer complaints.

  • You will work closely as the liasion between the customer complaints call handling team and the UK wide sites and major UK retail customers to raise reports and manage the investigation process and documentation.

  • You need to be able to make pragmatic decisions and be able to chase and influence stake holders and managers throughout the supply chain to ensure you gather the information you need.

  • You will analyse compliance data for emerging trends and act upon that information. You will be pro-active and raise any concerns as part of investigations to the Quality Manager.

  • Alongside this you will also impart your knowledge on the customer call handling team, training them on food safety and technology so they can improve the front line support to the customer. This includes keeping them up to date with any emerging food news.

We need someone who is Technically qualified, analytical and enjoys pace, the buzz of managing a project through completion and has the ability to train and mentor others. It is also essential that you are qualified in Food Science or a related field and hold HACCP, and advance Food Hygiene qualifications, along with an internal audit qualification.

Please note there will be some on call work as part of this role.
