But its not double acts that we’re interested in here. This is an opportunity to join our client’s food business as their Culinary Development Manager. You’re collaborating with some of the UK’s major food brands and manufacturers. Your partnerships will cover grocery retail, foodservice and industry, within a variety of food categories. Your network will be big, and you’ll touch all sectors of food. The team you’re in are no fools… you’re joining a well-oiled machine here.

The mission is to work as the Culinary lead, the food pro who partners the Commercial Team, in presenting new recipe developments to a range of customers. They are major supermarkets, restaurant groups and food manufacturers, whose food offerings reach the entire UK.

It’s a fulfilling, busy, explorative and creative position, for any Development Chef who knows what it takes to alter a core product with a special little touch. An adaptation, addition and smattering of new flavour to enhance an already quality food product. Then present it in an engaging and enticing manner to those who first made the dish. Building those relationships and trust is what will make you the name on everybody’s lips, and the go-to person.

It’s a position that won’t keep you chained to the kitchen all day every week either, as you visit customers, presenting at taste panels. You’ll collaborate with the customer’s NPD Teams and work out where your core range can be made bespoke, to meet end user’s tastes. The breadth of this work is what really makes it a cut above the rest. You will have a hand in almost every food style the UK has to offer.

You will be a pivotal part of the wider team. A modest company in size, you will work alongside the MD, and Commercial Team, where you have a voice and valid contribution to the growth and direction of the business from an NPD standpoint. Also liaising with the head office in France as they prepare all samples and you present back in application.

For success in this role you will bring with you a desire to create and explore with your customers. As you research the markets and stay on top of food trends, its imperative you bring a strong product knowledge to each meeting.

Having worked within NPD since leaving the restaurant world, the ability to present food ideas and new recipes will not be new to you. A driving license is necessary, as is the ability to stay away from home as you visit clients across the UK each month.

As well as your basic salary you will also get +15% bonus. car, pension, family medical, expense account, plus relocation support if required.
