An exciting time to join a fast-paced business supplying high-end products into all the major Retailers.

This is a successful, FMCG business enjoying significant growth within its market. It holds a premium position across all the categories it supplies into and are a hugely innovative and passionate business. Due to growth they are now looking for an experienced Category Procurement professional to join its team

This is a great opportunity for a bright, ambitious Category Buyer looking for the next step up. You'll work as part of a small, successful team looking at the strategic sourcing across commodity raw materials as well as indirect services. Reporting into the Procurement Director, you'll take on a category lead role whilst working closely with existing and new suppliers, setting up and delivering category plans. A big part of the role will be influencing stakeholders, mitigating risks using market data, creating category management plans and negotiating with suppliers and stakeholders.

Candidates need to be hugely commercially aware, bright and ambitious. You'll need strong procurement experience gained within the food industry. Your experience will have included managing suppliers to world class level, working knowledge of procurement processes and strong project implements skills. Ideally CIPS qualified you will have strong negotiation and IT skills, particularly around excel.
