Bakery Lecturer, Northamptonshire
Location: East Midlands
County / State: Northamptonshire
Consultant: Maxx Armstrong
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £24,000 - £31,000 per annum plus Package
Bread is just bread...... right?
Depending on your profession, interests and hobbies, there are certain things that people say that can really grind your gears. "Breads just bread" strikes me as one of those phrases that bakers hate so dearly. This passion is why you are in the profession that you are; you eat sleep and breathe baked goods, so it makes sense that, that kind of naivety would spark a reaction. Now, how do you utilize this passion, experience and knowledge? Have you ever thought of educating budding young bakery professionals looking to have a successful food industry career?
The opportunity is to enthuse, educate and inspire students to learn about the complexities of the bakery industry and prepare them for a successful career in the sector.
This Lecturer role will have it's challenges though and excitement as you join a small team focused on the establishment of a brand new facility and start running Food & Drink courses for the first time at this College. You will be learning nearly as much as the students you teach as you finalize and fine tune some aspects of the curriculum etc. Think of it this way though, you have a real opportunity to set a precedent, do things the way you want to do it to help your students become accomplished Bakery professional. What a rewarding opportunity to teach, to help bright young minds achieve their dreams and head off into the careers of their choice, careers they have a real passion for, wasn't that you at one stage?
There are also other benefits for you the work-life balance offered in this role with excellent holiday entitlement and good working hours.
The role has very open selection criteria; obviously you have to have extensive experience in Bakery and a real passion for the subject. But, other than that you could come from manufacturing (Technical, Production, Development) or academia (Study or Teaching), as long as you have a good theoretical/practical knowledge.
If you fancy a change or even just a chance to learn a little more about this role, then please. Apply now.
