You're no doubt full of ideas about the next big thing. Creating and tweaking recipes is a major part of your life. It's what you already do well at work (making dough kneading dough)
So if you are already developing bakery products in a manufacturing environment, why would you move?
Put simply, the opportunity here is to pro-actively drive the innovation strategy, not simply respond re-actively to customer demands.
Here you'll be taking your products onto the biggest stage, working with all major UK retailers and with a further expanding customer base. You'll be leading the agenda for the category, educating your customers about upcoming bakery trends and showcasing your ideas to them. This will involve research trips, hours spent in the development kitchen like Willy Wonka, enthusing your customers about your products then making sure the factory teams can successfully take them to full-scale launch.
You'll need expertise in bakery development coupled with understanding how trends around areas such as health, convenience and indulgence can be converted into commercially successful new products.
You'll be working for a well-respected Development Manager who will support you along the way and help you progress. You'll also work alongside a highly accomplished Process Manager who will ensure successful scale up in the factory. The business invests in both its kit and people, is a key strategic retailer supplier and has further capacity to grow. All of which is reassuring in the often turbulent world of own-label manufacturing.
