As the market leader within Development Chef recruitment, Focus Chefs can assist Chefs currently in foodservice role; move their careers into Product Development. You may already work on menu development, within foodservice, perhaps from the casual dining sector within branded restaurants. Equally if you are currently working as a Development Chef for retailers and manufacturers, we can help move your career forward.

Whilst extremely attractive on paper, not all Chefs can make the change into a Development Chef role. The reality is only about 10% of applicants understand the complexities and can handle the culture change. You can be a highly creative Chef, managing your own brigade in your own kitchen, cooking a varied menu each and every day – but could you stand up and impress major retailers? Could you present a range of ideas with authority, on the history of differing cuisines? Could you dissect a recipe into its component parts and produce 12 differing samples to show flavour profiles?
