Q) When is red also green? A) When a leading international food brand has the ability to make it so!
If spreading your wings, and making a move to an exciting, innovative food brand appeals to you, then this international player is going to be just the job.
This business is one of the world's top five food companies. Their reputation in the market is excellent, with popular, household names throughout their product range. This chance to join a small, but effective team in the Netherlands as a Development Chef, isn't often available, but UK experience is well respected and valued here.
From the state-of-the-art Research and Development centre just over an hour from Amsterdam and 20km from Germany, you will bring your NPD experience into four key product categories. Reporting into the Culinary Development Manager, working with Technologists, you will shape the future of condiments, sauces, soups and beans! The application and innovation possible here knows few limits and you can go deep with your Development Chef creativity.
This new move in your NPD career not only offers the chance to work in a truly international, multi-cultural company, but also within a wider Development team. Collaborating with production, marketing and category managers over four areas, you will bring your multi-tasking and presentation skills front and centre here.
Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of what this business does. You might not have worked for a brand previously, but that's fine. Understanding that you are a custodian of the brand's strength and reputation is important.
As well as the business site, the city has a cool and modern vibe. It's popular with students so the local area has plenty to offer if you're socially active. Also, as it's one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, so the culture and history to explore is right up there with many of Europe's better known hot-spots.
The role asks for a few things from you, so you can benefit from all of the above: -
- Experience working within product development as a Chef; a working knowledge of the Product Development Process
A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent), preferably within Culinary Arts, Food Science or Nutrition
Strong presentation skills
A thorough understanding of the wider food markets, from fine-dining to street food
A genuine desire to shape and change the culinary landscape
This opportunity is not what you often read in Dev Chef job ads. We appreciate that you might not have been considering moving house, never mind countries - but it's a career move that will absolutely shape an exciting future. Call me to discuss and get this application started.
