As someone looking for a new role it is important to understand the process that Focus operates in order to help you find your next career move.
Focus will start by reviewing your application/CV against the job specification. The best applications are those that can highlight the relevant experience against the remit of the job. It is important to remember that it's worth noting any specific skills, product and customer knowledge on your application.
Creating an account on Focus Website, allows you to tailor your job search and receive notifications of new vacancies as they are posted.
The next step, once your CV has been reviewed and we believe you have the relevant experience and skills sought by our client, we will arrange for you to meet a Focus Consultant.
This interview may be face to face, virtual or by telephone. At interview we will delve into your experience and ensure you and the company will fit on culture, location, and skills.
Equally, it will give you the opportunity to understand more about the company and role on offer. Our team have very close working relationships with their clients and therefore should be able to answer many of your questions.
Once the Focus interview is complete and you are assessed to be the correct fit for the role, we will then submit your CV and our Consultant notes to the client.
There is also the chance that if you don’t fit the role you initially applied for, you may fit other roles within a different client base. This will be discussed with you and if you are happy to proceed, we would then submit your details accordingly. Once your CV is submitted to a client, we will then come back to you with their feedback and next steps.
We will inform you that the client wishes to proceed with an interview. We will prepare you for that interview with the information we have and suggest you complete your own research, so that you are fully prepared. All interviews are confirmed by email. We will also call you prior to the interview.
Client interviews are a combination of virtual and face to face meetings. Testing, factory tours and presentations can also form part of the selection process. But we will ensure you are kept well informed and prepared for every stage of the process.
Once you have attended the interview, we will arrange a time to take your feedback.
The process will be made up of several elements. At each stage feedback is important and Focus will facilitate feedback for both parties.
