  1. How can I learn about the vacancies that Focus Management Consultants is working on?

    All our vacancies are posted immediately to the Focus Management website. By checking back regularly, you will be able to browse all our latest opportunities.

  2. How do I apply for a position through Focus Management Consultants?

    We encourage you to apply online via our website; however should you experience any difficulties or prefer to, you can send your CV via email. If this is the case, please email your CV to making sure you state the job reference number in the email subject box.

    You may also phone our Head Office to discuss a vacancy you have seen on 01625 560778. (If you phone in, you may be asked to send your CV over before speaking with a Consultant).

  3. What happens after I submit my CV online?

    If you are applying for a particular role;

    From the point of application your CV and details will be reviewed by our team of experienced Consultants against the role you have applied for, and also against any other suitable positions. If you are to be progressed, we will contact you directly within five working days to discuss the role further.

    If you do not hear from us within five working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.We currently receive thousands of applications every month, and therefore sincerely apologise if we are unable to contact you personally to discuss your career requirements. We would however like to keep your CV details on our confidential database, meaning you will be considered for every suitable new vacancy we receive in the future.

    If you are successful at this point, you will be asked to meet face to face with one of our Consultants. From there you will be required to meet the client for a one, two or three stage interview process. This may or may not include psychometric and numerical testing, an assessment centre or a presentation - if any of the aforementioned are required, you will be notified well in advance of the deadline.If you are registering with the business;

    You will receive an email as confirmation of your registration with Focus Management Consultants, leaders in food and drink industry recruitment. By registering with our business, your details will be added onto our confidential database for purposes of monitoring your applications, and also to search against any future vacancies that may be of interest to you.

  4. How long does the recruitment process take?

    This can vary from role to role. Some of our vacancies can turn around in less than a week, whilst others can take much longer. This depends on the urgency of the vacancy, the flexibility of the candidate and client, amongst many other factors. If you desire this information for a particular application you have made, please contact your Consultant to discuss the expected length of the recruitment process.

  5. Can I send my resume via fax or mail?

    The most effective way to apply for vacancies through Focus Management is to submit your CV online at or by emailing However, we do accept CVs by fax and post although it is not recommended that you apply using this method.

  6. What if I don't find the right opportunity immediately?

    If you can't find a suitable vacancy, we strongly recommend that you register with us - you'll be added to our confidential database and will be contacted as soon as something that matches your requirements comes available.   7. How will I know if I am selected to participate in the interview process?

    If your skills, experience and qualifications match the requirements for the role, you will be contacted by one of our Consultants within five working days of your application, who will discuss the opportunity in more detail and determine whether the role satisfies your requirements.

  8. What if I am interested in multiple positions? Can I apply more for more than one position?

    Yes. Please apply for any roles that match your requirements and skill set.

  9. Can I send you my CV/details for you to keep on file in case a suitable vacancy arises?

    Yes, please send your CV to or register via our website. One of our Consultants will contact you as soon as a suitable vacancy comes available.

  10. Do I need to complete all sections of the application form?

    Please provide as much information as possible when applying for a role - this can aid your application significantly. Please ensure you complete all fields marked as mandatory (*).

  11. I've omitted some important information from my application form or my details have changed, what do I do?

    If you have spoken with a Consultant previously, please update them regarding your application. Otherwise please send an up to date CV to and this will replace your existing CV on our database. You may also update your CV in your Candidate Zone on our website.

  12. Do your vacancies involve shift work?

    Some do. We have a number of vacancies that operate on a shift pattern, however many of our roles involve typical normal working hours. A typical shift pattern for a Production role for example may be four on, four off. To search all our vacancies, please visit

  13. Do you have part-time vacancies?

    Most of our vacancies are full-time, however we do work on part-time roles too. If this is something you are interested in, please make a note at the time of application or registration.

  16. I am a candidate with a disability. Can you accommodate my needs during the application and assessment process?

    Yes our Head Office has recently been redeveloped to provide even better facilities for candidates with disabilities, should you be required to come for an interview. We will accommodate any needs you may have during the application process.

  17. Will Focus Management Consultants apply for a work permit for me?

    No.  You will need to have the right to work in the UK or have a valid UK visa to be considered for a role. You may be asked to provide this at the beginning of the interview process.

  18. Will I be informed if my application is unsuccessful?

    Yes, depending on the stage of your application. If you put your details forward for a role but our Consultant does not believe there to be a suitable fit, you will not automatically receive feedback at this stage (our policy states that if you do not hear form one of our Consultants within five working days, you have not been successful for the particular role in question. You will however be added to our database and contacted as soon as something suitable comes available).

  19. I have been unsuccessful, so can I request feedback?

    Yes. You will be able to receive feedback on your application at all stages of the recruitment process. This will be provided to you by your Consultant or their Administrator. Should you require feedback at the initial stage, this can be requested by emailing Please state the purpose of your email (requesting feedback) and quote the reference number for the role you have applied for.
