There are many different retailers across the world but our focus in on the UK. There are supermarkets like Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Asda. Aldi and Lidl are classed as discounters, but they truly hold their own against some of the larger supermarkets.
Food or drink manufacturers will supply a combination of branded and own label products into Retailers. Branded products such as Heinz, Mcvities, Schweppes, Kellogg’s etc and own label products that are specially manufactured for Retailer ranges such as Asda Just essentials range or Tesco Finest range. All food products go through rigorous food safety testing.
Retailers have individual supplier arrangements with food manufacturers. Retailers will conduct audits on their manufacturing processes to ensure that the products meet the specification.
